Essential Guide to Strap Ons

What is a harness for and how does it work?

A harness is a device that you wear for hands-free penetrative (with a dildo) vaginal or anal sex. Each harness is designed to be adjustable in order to fit you properly; some more so than others - the more basic harness you buy the less adjustable it will be. Harnesses work in a simple way: positioning the dildo over your groin area allows you to use the power of your hips to thrust into your partner to gain the best direction, depth & angles possible.

Who can wear a harness?

Everyone! Most of our harnesses are made to fit both men & women of all shapes & sizes. We sell harnesses to people of every sexuality, the one thing they all have in common is a desire to explore & enjoy their own & their partners bodies!

What are they made of?

The best quality & most durable harnesses are the hand made leather ones, however these are also the most expensive types. Alternative materials include: PVC, nylon, velvet & rubber or a mixture of two types. The rings which hold the dildos in place are either made from metal or a durable rubber.

What types of harnesses are there?

There are different types of harnesses coming onto the market all the time. Our experience has generally taught us that you get what you pay for. We have found the cheapest ones a big disappointment but we stock them for those of you who are budget conscious. The best ones are those which offer comfort, versatility & luxury & the straps are fully adjustable and the rings for the dildos are fully interchangeable. There is also a range of strap-ons for those guys with varying degrees of erectile dysfunction. Please ask for more information on this - we’re more than happy to help guide you on any questions you may have.

What else should I consider before using a Strap-On?

Feel free to approach us for some sound advice about strap-ons. We sell lots of them & answer all sorts of questions about them. We don’t judge you & we totally respect your confidentiality. For total beginners we highly recommend starting with a small & thin dildo in order to build up confidence & enjoyment with the product before progressing onto bigger things! Consider that with the better quality harnesses you will also need to get the correct ring size for the dildo of your choice...we’re happy to advise. We also recommend a good waterbased lube to go with your purchase in order to avoid any unnecessary pain.

What about dildos?

For a dildo to be called ‘Harness Compatible’ it needs to have a flat, flared base to enable it to sit securely inside its rubber ring without getting pulled out during penetration. Dildos come in many different materials, shapes, sizes, thicknesses, designs & colours. However Silicone dildo’s are far by far the best!
